Watch Workouts
Track cardio and strength workouts right from your Apple Watch. The QBod Watch app works with your iPhone app to show live metrics and sync your data.
Important: Companion App
The QBod Watch app needs the QBod iPhone app on your paired iPhone. It works with the iPhone app, not on its own.
Two Types of Workouts
Cardio Workouts
Running, cycling, swimming, and more. Track heart rate, calories, distance, and pace as you go.
Strength Workouts
Weight training and resistance exercises. Log sets, reps, and weight for each exercise.

Live Metrics During Workout
During cardio workouts, your Watch shows live metrics:
- Heart Rate - Current BPM with zone indicator
- Calories - Active calories burned
- Duration - Elapsed workout time
- Distance - For running, walking, cycling
- Pace - Current and average pace
- Route (GPS) - Outdoor runs, rides, and walks record your route. See the map in your workout summary in the iPhone app
Voice Logging from Watch
You can also quick-log food and water from your Watch using voice:
- From the Watch home screen, tap Quick Log
- Select Food or Water
- Speak what you want to log
- Tap "Done" when finished speaking
Reminder
Voice recognition can sometimes pick up the wrong words. Check your entries in the iPhone app, then delete and re-log if needed.
Syncing with iPhone
Workouts automatically sync to your iPhone app when:
- Both devices are connected via Bluetooth
- The QBod iPhone app is running (foreground or background)
If sync doesn't happen immediately:
- Keep the QBod Watch app in the foreground
- Close and reopen QBod on your iPhone
- The sync should complete within a few seconds
The Watch will automatically retry failed syncs up to 5 times.
Recovery Vitals
When you wear your Apple Watch, QBod automatically collects recovery vitals in the background:
- Heart Rate Variability (HRV) - A recovery and stress signal
- Resting Heart Rate - Your heart's baseline at rest
- Respiratory Rate - Breathing patterns during sleep
- Blood Oxygen (SpO2) - How much oxygen is in your blood (Series 6+ only)
These sync automatically to the Recovery section in your iPhone app.
Apple Health Integration
Workouts completed on your Watch are automatically written to Apple Health, including:
- Workout type and duration
- Calories burned
- Heart rate samples
- Distance (for cardio)
This means your QBod workouts count toward your Apple Watch activity rings.
